The Gemini Child

Dear Isheeria Healing Circle’s Readers,

If your child is born between 21^st May  and 20^THJune  he/she is a Gemini.  Active, restless, and versatile. Vivacious, but liable to mood swings. Lively, and fun loving. Good communicators.  They need lots of company, yours and their friends’.

 Friendly, alert, inquisitive, energetic, sociable, charming, easy going and talkative. Sensitive, expressive, and capable. They cannot resist a dare or a challenge.

 A Geminian is independent from an early age, and resents any interference. They are often one step ahead of everyone else- either academically or in understanding their surroundings. Lovers of knowledge , they should have a superior education. But are apt to lack continuity. With their unquenchable thirst for knowledge they tend to question everything. It is best to always answer their questions and give logical answers. It is not unusual to find them ambidextrous. The Gemini child does not like strict discipline, and has no qualms in making their complaints heard.

 As Gemini  is the sign of the twins,  your child will seem to be contrary, and in two places at the same time. To keep them still  in one place is a herculean task. You cannot confine a Geminian child- physically or emotionally. Restraints and constraints can lead them to become depressive. And coming out of depression will not be easy. Praise is essential for them. They will likely keep you on your toes, and run you ragged!

 They have excellent powers of persuasion, and a quick, often amusing  answer for justifying  everything, enabling them to squirm out of sticky situations. It is difficult for them to see, much less admit, that they are in the wrong.

They have a vivid imagination and sometimes don’t realize where reality finished and their imagination took over—at this stage they need to be handled very gently. In self- defense they retreat into their own world.

As a parent you should cultivate in them the habit of self -control. They must be taught to complete every task that they begin.   Being easily distracted, they find it hard to be punctual.

They will always be pursuing minimum 2 tasks at the same time. Teach them to pace themselves. They throw themselves wholeheartedly into a new project/ interest. But will likely lose interest as something more interesting comes along. Because of their short interest span, they should do projects of small duration.   By completing the task in hand they will have a feeling of achievement and fulfillment.      Stimulating the mind of your Gemini child is of the utmost importance. They are quick to learn and progress. Being very talkative they need to sit quietly and listen too. And learn to share the centre stage. A bored Gemini will quickly resort to destructive behavior to break the monotony.  Gemini’s are good communicators, but tend not to share their emotions and inner feelings.

Geminians are the children of Mercury, the sign of the twins. Their duality and restlessness is an inherent characteristic within them. . As a parent you need to teach them to handle and come to terms with their quicksilver reactions and their dual personality.

The Taurean Child

Dear Isheeria Healing Circle’s Readers,

If your child is born between 21^st April and 20^th May he/she is a Taurian. 

Strong, sturdy, and healthy.  Logical, practical,  dependable,   methodical, and thorough. If not active they will become moody and depressed.  They don’t learn quickly. They are artistic, and very sensitive with an excellent   memory.

  Your Taurean child will tend to do everything at their own pace, and pushing them will only confuse them, and slow them down further. Be practical and logical with them, and they will listen to you, and fall in line. They need gentle persuasion.  Pushing will only make them stubborn.  And they can be really stubborn!!

They are slow to temper, but once aroused it is very difficult to calm them down. The good thing is that their temper tantrum does not last long.

They are self-sufficient, mature for their age, but always want (and need) their loved ones close by. They rely much more on family than other children their age. They will baulk at anything new. They don’t like change. They need a predictable daily routine and a practical education. They need discipline and boundaries to thrive. 

 It is very important that their family life be safe and secure. And preferably permanent as they need a firm foundation and backing in their life. Any change in their environment will have a major impact on them and leave a mark.

Your child will love anything and everything to do with the home, and especially the garden. Being an earth sign they will love playing in the mud, garden, sand. Will likely be a foodie.

The Taurus child is liable to extremes. Being very sensitive to those around them, they are easily influenced and hence misled by their associates.

Teach them to think for themselves, and make their own decisions.

THE SAGITTARIUS CHILD

Dear Isheeria’s Healing Circles Readers,

If your child is born between 23^rd Nov and 21^st Dec.  he/she is a Sagittarian. Bold, fearless, determined, combative, decisive. Will hate secrets and dishonesty of any kind (but not above tweaking facts themselves!). They are outgoing, social, popular, quick-witted and curious.

Adventurous, sporting, optimistic, loves debates, taking risks, is courageous and accident-prone. They rarely sit still. They are always involved, always doing something, always asking questions.

The Sagittarian child does not like to give in or admit to their mistakes. They are strong minded, independent, caring, humorous, and not tactful. They have quick tempers, but will readily forgive and forget. They do not take opposition kindly.

To your child the most important factor is Freedom.  Freedom in all forms—in thought, in speech, and in action. They will feel stifled if kept in a closed environment, made to follow rules and regulations (they believe that rules are made to be broken), or kept at home under restrictions. They will definitely rebel! You will need to give solid reasoning to convince them. They need open spaces and the freedom and independence to move about freely.  And remember, they respect honesty above everything.

You will require lots of patience and will need to spend time with your child. They require quiet guidance for they will resist any form of advice. They need a cause, a reason for being. They are erratic, as they have bursts of interest and energy. They lack follow-through. Hence, you need to teach them the importance of completing tasks and seeing things through. Teach them perseverance. You have to keep them occupied, but don’t leave them to their own devices. 

Teach them economy, as not only are they generous but also extravagant. 

Fun-loving, extrovert, excitable, they need to be the focus of attention. They are easily bored and distracted, and find it difficult to conform to routines and discipline. Ensure that they do not feel stifled. You need to motivate them. To encourage their enthusiasm, so as to sustain their efforts. If you give them plenty of rope, they will be honest and open with you.

If isolated i.e. without too much interaction with other people they will likely withdraw, become defiant and sarcastic.

Teach them to be polite, tactful, diplomatic, responsible, and to persevere. They will flex their wings early, so be prepared.  And they will fly their roost, at some time in their life. If not at an early stage, then definitely later.

The Scorpio Child

Dear Isheeria's Healing Circles Readers,

If your child is born between 23^rd Oct and 22^nd Nov he/she is a Scorpio. Complex, secretive, moody, volatile, the Scorpio child is emotional and feels very deeply, but tend to keep their feelings hidden.

This Mars child is the most intense and passionate sign of the zodiac and has tremendous endurance and resilience. They don’t accept “no” easily, and see things in “black and white” which makes life pretty difficult for them. They are also the most misunderstood. They are drawn to what is forbidden—be it electrical sockets, drugs etc.

 Even as a child your Scorpio child will want their own way—with flattery and by manipulation (in which they are masters!!) they will somehow always manage to get what they want.

They are wise beyond their years and once motivated they will forge ahead and not rest till they have achieved their goal. Compromise is not one of their virtues. They love a challenge, and are not hesitant to pick a fight.

They tend to be very possessive hence, if you have a new addition to the family please remember that they will feel insecure and threatened, and will either withdraw deep into a shell, or throw tantrums and behave unruly. You will need to foster their relationships especially with siblings. Teach them to be caring from the beginning. Their sense of insecurity is very deep and leads them to be envious, and if not checked in them early can lead to a spiteful and vindictive nature.  

You will need to establish the “rules”—the standard of behavior and the habits that they inculcate as children will remain with them throughout life. If you are consistent in your dealings with them they will feel secure around you.

They need constant and firm discipline, and lots of affection and support. Keep them active physically and mentally.  They have strong will-power, are determined, and the only way to make them see reason is with logic. Don’t push them too hard. Teach them self- control.

THE LIBRAN CHILD

THE LIBRAN CHILD

If your child is born between 23^rd Sept and 22^nd Oct he/she is a Libran. Bright, intelligent, reasonable, and adaptable. But they can also be moody and stubborn. A Libran child has an instinctive sense of fashion, grooming, and etiquette; and an interest in the Arts.    From an early age they can perceive that there are two sides to every story, and to every situation. The more they understand this the more confused they become leading to an inability to make a decision. Don’t rush them to decide/ to make up their minds. They hate making decisions, and do not respond well to pressure.

In life the Libran child will have it pretty easy as they will be able to mollify and get their own way because of their irresistible charm and tact. They tend to throw tantrums from an early age if they can’t easily get what they want. Also, a tendency to procrastinate as they have great difficulty in making up their minds and coming to a decision. The answer is to reason with them, and persuade them, and not give them choices.

   Libran children need help to keep their feet on the ground. Being a sociable child they like being surrounded by people, and tend to feel stifled if left too much alone. They should learn to control their natural sensitiveness. Harmony is the most important factor in their life, and to achieve this they will go to any lengths, and try to please  everyone. Because they hate to disappoint anyone they find it difficult to say “no”.

As a parent try not to encourage the idealistic side of their nature.  Begin to educate them early and ensure that they do not go to extremes.  Be very careful/ watchful concerning secret vices. They have a tendency to be misled  and/ or controlled by others, hence it is important that they be strictly disciplined. Great care in their education and training is a must. They need gentle handling, encouragement and appreciation.

They will likely be hypochondriacs always imagining the worst.  Rest and quiet are essential for them to recoup their energy reserves.

 You need to keep their intellectual faculties active. Teach them to be practical. And be aware that they can wrap you around their little finger, and are masters at getting their way!!
